Beatrice Peak, Kootenay National Park, 3125m

Beatrice Peak is a 3125m mountain in Kootenay National Park. It is located in the Ball Range and is usually ascended with Mount Ball. The classic scrambling route up Beatrice Peak is class 2, and often considered horrific. This is because the access is from Haffner Creek which has horrible deadfall. If you are already planning on doing Mount Ball then you might as well bag Beatrice Peak while you’re at it. This will also give you access to a nice descent gully with loose scree, and possibly snow a bit off the northern end of Beatrice.
