Mount Aylmer is a 3162m mountain that is the highest point in the Palliser Range as well as all the East ranges in Banff National Park. The views from the summit are fantastic although it is a bit of a trek in. Our route took us in 18km from the Lake Minnewanka parking lot and we gained about 1800m of elevation on the way there, the route is class 2 for the most part but there is a class 4 downclimb.
