Pipestone Mountain, Banff National Park, 2971m
Pipestone Mountain is a 2971m mountain at the southern end of the Drummond Icefield. As it takes at least 20km to get to its base from the Fish Creek parking lot, Pipestone Mountain is not summitted often (maybe once per year). Although, it is not technically difficult (class 2) and anyone could easily climb it in a backpacking trip. If you take the ridge from Cyclone then it becomes a class 5 outing. There will likely be snow in the ascent gully until August, making for an easy descent.
